Cricket Fat Bombs
Timeframe: 30 minutes
The combination of protein and fat in cricket fat bombs makes a satiating, nourishing snack that is a favorite of Washington College students.
Ingredients

3/4 cup (130g) ghee, coconut oil, lard, or tallow

1 cup (120g) organic cricket powder (or food processed pumpkin/sunflower seeds)

10 (60g) pitted and chopped dates
- 5/8 cup (70g) hempseed hearts
- 1/2 cup (75g) carob powder or high quality cocoa
- 1/8 cup (35g) raw organic honey
- 1 tsp sea salt
- Optional: coconut flakes for coating
Supplies
- food processor
Method
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Scrape mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for a few minutes till it becomes shapeable. Roll into small orbs and dust with coconut flakes for a shaggy chic appearance.
Store in the refrigerator and snack as desired.
