Summer To-Do List
This checklist will help you to make sure you have everything you need for your first year at Washington College!
Please note that these links may take you to different portals or systems. Your Washington College user ID and password are the same for each one.
Start Here
► Claim your Washington College account! (set up User ID and password) ASAP
► Access your Washington College Email! ASAP
► Log into Canvas and view the New Students Fall 2023 course for guided resources to complete the rest of your to-do
list. Items are listed below as well!
May
► Complete Housing Forms by May 31.
► Have your parent/guardian complete the Parent/Guardian form by May 31
► Schedule your physical with your doctor at home so they have time to complete your First year/sports physical paperwork BEFORE the due date of August 1
June
► Register for Flock Together by June 4
You may register for June 21, 22, or 26th- please choose the date that is best for you and your family.
If you are unable to attend on any of those dates, you will be able to meet with an advisor virtually after the on campus dates.
Schedule of events for each day
► Register for Explore! by June 9
Any changes to your Explore! selection will be managed during Flock Together or via email to Student Affairs at student_affairsFREEwashcoll.
►Take Math & Language Placement Exams by June 12
There are 3 placement exams; 1 for Language and 2 math (1 is only required for students planning to major in a Natural Science or Math/Computer Science program).
Each typically takes less than an hour, and they do not need to be taken at the same time. Plan ahead and space them out!

► Complete Course Selection Worksheet on Canvas by June 15.

► Complete Incoming Student Success Inventory by June 15
► Complete Release of my Educational Records (FERPA) by June 19. This FERPA form is to be completed through Self Service.
► Accept/Reject Federal Loans/Awards by June 30
Failure to do so may result in inaccurate billing statements
► Log into Student Self-Service to familiarize yourself with this system.
You can see your class schedule and in July this is where you will see your tuition bill.
►Browse the Course Schedule (you can also view it through Self-Service).
July
► Review Tuition bill Available beginning July 1 (due August 1)
August
► Complete Financial Responsibility Form by August 1
► Pay Tuition bill by August 1
► Complete Student Health Form and online Insurance Waiver by August 1
Failure to fill out the health insurance waiver will mean student will be automatically enrolled in student health insurance after August 1 and the cost of the insurance will be billed directly to student account.
► Upload Student Health Forms to the Student Health Portal once completed.
► Complete Student-Athlete health forms by 8/7
Complete Vector Prevention Modules by August 19
► Sign Up For WAC Alerts before August 21
► Register your vehicle before August 21
► Update your CampusGroups profile before August 21
► New Students' Move-in Day August 21
► Career Center Assessment (Focus 2) by August 25
