    Come Sit with Us

Washington College truly is a place like no other. Whether you're sitting in the stands cheering on our teams, grabbing coffee with your favorite professor at Homecoming Weekend, or wherever you are — we are saving your seat to support the campus you love.

We are hard at work to make that easier for each of you over the next year, to help you stay connected to each other and to bring our global Washington community closer together.

For more detailed information about making a gift to support Washington College, please call us at 410-778-7801.

The 1782 Society is the College’s premier giving recognition society, with five annual gift levels, ranging from $1,500 to $25,000 or more, as well as associate levels for recent graduates.

Society members enjoy unique benefits that reflect their valued role in the College community, including:

    • Invitations to select lectures, receptions, and programs, as well as 1782 parking permits (not available to current students).
    • Reserved, preferred seating at select campus events.
    • Borrower’s card to Miller Library that allows checking out two books for three weeks at no additional fee.
    • Use of the College’s athletic facilities for an additional $200 fee (payable prior to using facilities): Johnson Lifetime Fitness Center, Casey Swim Center, and Schottland Tennis Center. Fee includes family members residing at same address. (Availability of athletic facilities varies seasonally according to team use and student breaks.)

Discover the satisfaction of investing in education and joining like-minded benefactors who believe the College is one of George Washington’s greatest legacies to the nation. Unrestricted gifts at 1782 Society levels support the Washington Fund, an annual revenue source that enables the College to direct money to scholarships and other areas of highest priority.

1782 Society-level gifts may be made outright, by installment, by transfer of stock, or by credit card through our secure giving site. Any matching gifts received on a member’s behalf will be counted toward their giving level.
