Helen McAdory

Helen McAdory is the Director for Annual Giving, where she is responsible for the development of a range of annual giving campaigns, especially drives for alumni participation and mini-campaigns targeting campus priorities.

As a partner to Advancement communications staff, Helen defines the audiences for annual giving and alumni print and electronic fundraising initiatives and collaborates with the alumni relations on targeted communications. Helen also works with the Director of the 1782 Society and Alumni Engagement to set recruitment and renewal and stewardship strategy for the 1782 Society.

Prior to coming to Washington College, Helen served 4 years as Executive Director of Diamond State Community Land Trust, a state-wide nonprofit preserving land use and creating shared-equity housing in communities throughout Delaware.

Hailing originally from Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa, Helen remains rooted in the rural landscape of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and has made Chestertown her home since 2015.
